Easiance, through Be Agile SRL (Easiance is an official brand of Be Agile SRL), has been awarded the Chèques Entreprises ‘Thématique Numérique – Cybersécurité’ label. This means that Easiance can provide services under the ‘chèque Cybersecurity’ scheme. More specifically, SME-type companies in Wallonia can benefit from a 75% subsidy, with a ceiling of €50,000, on services for carrying out an audit/diagnosis of the company’s cybersecurity situation, up to and including the preparation of specifications, or for certification based on existing cybersecurity processes, and support services for monitoring the implementation of a cybersecurity policy to meet the needs identified in the cybersecurity audit or diagnosis.
This subsidy represents concrete help for Walloon SMEs to increase their level of maturity in terms of information security. A higher level of security is an essential factor for the long-term survival of businesses, and one that is all too often neglected.
In addition to the intrinsic benefits of improved information security, Walloon SMEs, like all European SMEs, will have to demonstrate their efforts in terms of information security if they are willing to continue to respond to certain RFPs, or even retain customers subject to the new NIS2 law. The new NIS2 law, established on the basis of the European NIS2 directive, requires all major and essential companies, both private and public, in many sectors to ensure that they select subcontractors with the ability to demonstrate a satisfactory level of IT security.
Easiance has already enabled one company to benefit from ‘Chèques Entreprises’ subsidies as part of their deployment of an ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.
It’s a safe bet that other Walloon SMEs will follow quickly.
